How big of tires are on your 67-72??
does anybody know if 39 inch swamper tires will fit a 72 chevy truck with 4 inch suspension lift and 3 inch body. Has anybody cut their fenders to make them fit. Got any pictures?

Re: How big of tires are on your 67-72??
Nothing wrong w/body lifts on these K5s..as long as it's installed properly.
I run Irok 36" The specs say they are 36.8" so closer to a 37". I rub & I cut. Mostly the front of the rear wheelwell and the rear of the front wheelwell Try to say that fast hahaha 4" Front springs 5.5" rear springs & oooscary 3" body lift

My dad ran 39.5 on his 69 with 1/2 tons. Only snapped 1 axle. Mud is easier on axles then other forms of offroading

Re: How big of tires are on your 67-72??
6'' suspension and 3'' body.
The only trimming he did was a little bit of the "fang" on the front fender. Trucks been tore apart for a few years but maybe I can find a Polaroid of it and scan when I get home. This was on a longbed pickup. But here is a pic of my Blazer with 6'' lift and 36.5'' tires Not much room for flexing and steering with that setup. Running 39.5 swampers w/8" suspension lift. Had already cut the fenders back when I had a 4" lift with 35's. That's all about to change again when I add a dana 60 frt, and a 14 bolt rear.

I've got a 4" lift and 33x12.50-15's. Work great for a daily driver.

That pic is about 11 years ago, right before it went into storage. Getting ready to bust it out and go at it again. I'll try to include some pic's of the fender cuts.

Re: How big of tires are on your 67-72??
Almost forgot, the front fangs are coming off soon to make way for the winch bumper. That will help clean up the rough cuts from the cutting torch! The rear pic is not so good, but you have to take the curve off the fender at the part of the fender closest to the rocker. Whew!
