frame rot...how to fix?
I removed the bracket that holds the track bar to the driverside frame rail. Bracket was rotted and found this underneath. I am thinking I'll need to weld in order to fill this in. Any suggestions?

Re: frame rot...how to fix?
I would weld a plate on both sides of the frame, covering more then just the rotted area.

Re: frame rot...how to fix?
thought of doing the plate, but my trackbar bracket needs to mount right over this same area. might throw things off with the extra plate under there.

Re: frame rot...how to fix?
Sorry, I went and looked at mine and realized thats the bottom of the frame. How about make a piece to replace whats rotted, and weld that in. Then, weld a plate on the inside of the frame, to reinforce it?

Re: frame rot...how to fix?
thanks, yea I'll probally put a plate in the inside and bolt through the frame and the bracket...don't think the welder i have can handle any frame work.
