Re: front plate
Yep.
There's a little nylon insert that goes into the square holes in the bumper, then you shoot the screw into that. Should be available at any auto/hardware store. K

Re: front plate
AutoZone or any parts house has those. Square white plastic that you plug into the holes with screws to hold the tag.

Re: front plate
I like the tag you chose. A friend is running an older version of the same tag on his 68 Corvette. We'd both decided to run something "era appropriate".

Re: front plate
My front plate is bolted to this, which is bolted to the bumper.
http://www.foldawaystep.com/products.html I know it's not what you're lookin for but it sure comes in handy!

Re: front plate
Thanks, I'm not sure how it bent but I wouldn't doubt someone chained onto it at one time, thats how I got it with a parts truck. It was the best one I had at the time, but I changed it a couple years ago with a nicer straight one.

Excellent choice! I found one at a swap meet a week or two ago and stuck it on there:

Re: front plate
I think it's a combination of two previous marketing campaigns: You might remember the whole "See the USA in your Chevrolet" with Dinah Shore (I know you weren't around, but it's very historic).... Then, after that, there was a move to "Chevrolet: The Number 1 Team". Combined with national advertising, back in the day when there were only three channels on TV, they usually would blanket the country with corresponding trinkets like tie tacks, cufflinks, notepads, etc and (you guessed it) license plates. I think the USA1 theme is the natural combination of those two previous marketing efforts, the obvious conclusion being "....Chevrolet is the number one brand in the USA...", which - it was. At one time the Chevrolet brand alone held over 30% market share in the US (which at that time was the only region that mattered). K

Re: front plate
Used to be the plate number on the presidents car around 1976 and the bicentennial. Don't know if they still do that.
