cab corners

Hey all who makes the best cab corners?I had bought some from one of the other big parts place. And they fit really bad. Were it lines up with the rocker theres no metal there like they cut them to short. Anyone have any luck getting some that fit right? and were from.
Thanks jay

Re: cab corners

I bought mine from Mikes Bump and Grind Garage. They were Tri-plus,if I remember right.I had my welding done so I don't know for sure how well they fit,but the guy at the welding shop said they were "pretty close" and he's about as good as they get.I stand to be corrected, but I think even the better aftermarket parts are only close and will need work to fit correctly.

One thing he did, instead of butt welding the pieces,he used an air powered flanging tool to make a reccess or lip along the top,so it would slide under the edge where he had cut the bad piece out.The new piece actually slid in under the old.I hope that makes sense. His weld was then made in the groove.Kind of off topic, but I thought it interesting,as i had never seen that done before.Learn something new every day... Hope this helps.
