What are these options?
I am thinking of buying a blazer but was curious as to what some of the options on its SPID mean, or what parts did they come with.
They are as follows: California Assembly Parchment trim California Processing Just curious what these meant. I doubt they mean anything cool or valuable I just havent seen them on any of my trucks before. Also I am assuming the CA stuff means it was possibly sold originaly in California. I am getting the vehicle out of northern Louisiana and the guy that has it says he got it out of Georgia. Thanks!

Re: What are these options?
Also thought I should ad that the truck has an F in the VIN showing that it was built in Flint, Michigan and not at a plant in California.

I can't help, but let me know when you're coming and I'll stop by and visit or something. The blazer is only 2 miles down the road.

Re: What are these options?
HuggerCST, I will let you know. I am getting the VIN run right now. If it comes back clean (which I assume it will) I don't see why it won't be a go. I am hoping if all goes smoothly to get up there next week.

HuggerCST, I don't know what your work schedule is like but it looks like I should be up there monday afternoon/evening. Hopefully you will be around. I always enjoy meeting board members in person.
Longhorn Man, Thanks for the information. I am glad to hear that parchment trim means white seats. My favorite color combo is blue truck with white interior. Now it looks like I will own one!

Re: What are these options?
In those days California had laws regarding manufacturing that were tougher than other states. These laws were related to emissions. For example the charcoal filter for the gas tank was required by CA before it was in other states. What I didn't know was that GM was building trucks in another state for sale in California.

Re: What are these options?
Bumping the thread to see if anyone knows in specific detail what the California stuff is.
