Chrome powdercoat
Has anyone ever had chrome powdercoat done on the grills and bumpers I know it wont look just like chrome but I want something without the cost of chroming and my grill is not perfect enough for chroming. if you have any pics please send or post

Scottrod71 has his grill powder coated it looks chrome from about 20', but up close you can tell it's powder coat but it looks good. I can't remember what he said it cost but it I think it was $200.00.

I think I'm going to powedercoat some stuff on my truck chrome but it will be awhile.

I don't know how to put it on here, but if you go to members and punch in Scottrod71 you can see his grill, it says he paid $125 for it.

I would want to see and play with a sample before I had any of my parts done.
At work we had some things powder coated "extreme chrome" (not sure of the brand). If you scratched it with your fingernail it would leave a dark grey line. This is on custom lighting where you just need to get it assembled, installed and it wont be touched again. I cannot imagine what a bumper would look like after a few washes. Im sure there are many other products that are better than the one I experienced. I go back to my original statement.

If I couldn't have chrome bumpers because of budget, I'd paint em' some shade of grey. Ralley color for example. Then clear em'. that would be cheaper and easier to fix than P/C.

I have been power coating for about 4 years now, Nothing looks like chrome other than chrome. If you go to ebay and type in Hood Hinges it seems like someone always has a powdercoated set pictured on there.

Here's probably the closest thing to chrome...I heard a lot of powdercoaters are getting this system so that they have a better alternative to offer to their customers

WOW that spectra chrome is awsome but I looks like it would still be expensive I am just looking to have my grill and bumper done in something that is close and makes it look uniform and clean
