Asbestos in cab?
An old mechanic told me to use a dust mask while i scrape off the origional flooring from my '68 because some old cars and trucks have traces of asbestos in the interiors. i dont know if thats true or not but it crosses my mind every time that fuzzy insulation stuff falls in my face from under the dash board as i install the new wiring harness. anyone else ever heard anything like this?

Jesus, if that is true about our trucks my lungs should be full of asbestos. Everytime I pull a piece of that old insulation dust and particles fly. I hope its not true about our's.

The floor mats were made of a rubberized tar type of stuff. I would wear a mask when ripping anything out of a old truck or car not for the fear of abestos but for the fear of that mice turd diesease.
