i'm glad my garage is heated it's -23 and snowing right now

Re: another new guy from alberta though

heh today is ummmm ugh nevermind (-i don't even wanna walk to the garage 20 steps away kinda cold ok ok -30 with the windchill)
anyways, the 20's were to big for my liking so i never took em and the hunt continues
the notch is almost done i am adding a brace to the notch(i would not do a square tube notch again but pipe would be wayyyy better i'm sure)
watts link is installed i bought the cheap one from speedway motors and made my own bracket for the diff(which i may add more bracing to aswell will post picks later today i hope)
next to raise the box floor so the floor will be all flat, install the air tank(make more brackets for it to)then continue to pick away at it till i narrow more stuff down

Re: another new guy from alberta though

ok a cpl pics for now......don't forget i am not done bracing yet, input is always good though
the guy that did my notch also works at a big rig shop,he runs the frame rack so i'm pretty confident in his work but i would rather do a pipe notch not square tube like he did next time
p.s i will also upgrade the wood to air once i install bump stops just didn't feel like letting everything squish the bags completely

Remember now that is Celcius.

60chv:

Glad to see your posting some more pics. I just drove through Calgary last month with my girlfriend on our way to Medicine Hat. Looks like we got back just in time to avoid the cold stuff.

Can you take some closer pics of the badges? I am always interested in the Canadian model badging.

Re: another new guy from alberta though

nah i have the spacers on......not sure which pic does not show them, but they most certainly are on there now although that may change later down the road
this is a 60 frame so i'm not 100% sure how low i can get it and the work involved(seems like a bit of work to go lower then i am now)so for now this is it just gotta find rims/tires to run
lets see if i have a decent pic of my new dash to install aswell

Re: another new guy from alberta though

ok I'm blind I see em now I have the same frame and tried drilling for the line ended up using the brackets like you have but the difference in drop was significant so I'm gonna have to borrow 6doggie's super step bit cool guage setup but is it for your 60 cuz it looks to be for 64-66

Re: another new guy from alberta though

well it's been a terribly slow process but i have recently gotten a few goodies.....boss 304 20'' rims with 295/50/20 rears (they may get changed though)and i put on 255/35/20 fronts if the pics show up you'll get to see em hahaha
and i got to FIRE UP THE MOTOR finally damn sounds wicked 2.5'' flowmaster exhaust kit with some older flomaster mufflers,it just might see the road this yr
gotta find me a pressure switch for the air ride and 1 more fitting then start mounting it and figure out the wiring in the engine compartment (gawd it's a mess under there)
that is all for now............i think
