Re: How much rust is too much rust for a project.....?
I had what i thought was a good cab intil I had it soda blasted. water was trapped in the drip rail and rusted out holes that ended up coming through the pilars and rusting them out worse than I expected. but I've already gone so far with this cab - theres no turning back.I found a cab with a nice roof and windsheild pilars and was hoping to do some type of swap???? hopefully?? does anyone have any advise or good pics on this? thanks

Re: How much rust is too much rust for a project.....?
I'd send you to 65sublimes thread here http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=3211288 but it looks like his photobucket account went inactive- maybe someone who knows him can get him to log into his account and reactivate it?
He had some VERY good photos of a cab roof replacement

Re: How much rust is too much rust for a project.....?
going to pick up doors for my truck tomorow(60chevy), 200$ for 2 doors, with glass and door handles etc.. drivers door has a kink from a broken strap(fixable-and not as bad as mine are). and the corners have holes, about and inch round hole on both doors both corners..so still much better than mine, plus they are original paint. what u guys think, decent deal?

Re: How much rust is too much rust for a project.....?
The truck is currently a big window, and is being replaced by a small window cab. I actually like the small window a little better. The only good thing I like about the big window is the extra appeal if I were to sell it.
