Indicator bulb wire color

What color is the wire to the left turn signal indicator bulb in the instrument panel? I've got two bulbs hanging under the dash and neither work, both with new bulbs.

Re: Indicator bulb wire color

You might do a search on this forum or jump over to the electrical one. I've seen the wiring diagram on here several times. I do know the dash lights are all grey wires.

Dude, I always search first. Couldn't find anything, that's why I asked. Anyone else know the color?

Re: Indicator bulb wire color

If they are just hanging loose, try grounding them to frame.
Right Hand is dark blue-----left hand is light blue at dash lights
Found this in a 64 supplement to factory gm manual

Thanks. Yea, I replaced both bulbs and tried grounding to the frame and plugging into dash socket, but nothing.

Re: Indicator bulb wire color

They will not come on unless the ignition switch is on and the turn signal lever is in the proper position. They should then blink, when the socket is grounded against the back of the gauge cluster. Also, check the flasher plugged into the fuse block, as well as the fuse.

Well duh...

Right indicator works, left does not, all turn signals work, flasher works, fuses good. Must be a wiring problem. I just needed to know which color wire was the left indicator. Thanks again Bubba.
