Seat Height?
I bought a custom seat for my truck. When I recieved it, the brackets were the wrong ones and I come to find out that I can't get the right ones. I am planning on making or having brackets made for the seat. I need someone to tell me what the height of the seating area on a stock seat is. Thanx for any help you can give me.

I think I have figured out the simplest way to make brackets for the seats I have. They have a angle iron frame on the bottom that lends itself to adding legs to it. I honestly am just trying to figure out how tall to make them. If you could give me the height from the floor to the seating surface of a stock seat, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx

My truck has custom brakets for the seats of unknown origin. The previos owner installed them and they are way too high. I can bearly get my leg between the seat and the 13" steering wheel. I've thought about posting the same question several times but the seat height is low on my priority list. Hopefully someone can make the measurement.

My '67 with a '69 bench is 12.5 - 13.0 inches to the bead on the front of the seat. It is 12.5 at the inside before the hump and 13 on the outside before the radius on the seat. Rubber floor mats if that makes a difference. This seat has the custom scroll cover.

I had the same problem so I made some spacers and placed the drivers seat in so that I could determine the height I needed. Ended up making them 3 inches for my application.
