69-72 Blazer half top in final stages, ready June 2003!
I'm just wanting to know if some of you Blazer guys want a half top?
I'm doing the final touches to the 69-72 Blazer half top. Man, what a project, but it will be nice!! If anyone is interested in one, then check out my page: 69-72 Blazer half top Myrodshop.com/blazer.html I plan to offer these very reasonable to all who want one. Soon as I get a completed product from the molds, I will be better able to establish what they will be. Like I said, they will be very reasonable and nice. Let me know if anyone has any questions? Yes oh yes. I'll be on the list depending on the price it'll be sometime this summer, when I'm ready to purchase. ANd does it matter the top style you currently have IE.... Double or single, and I'm very interested in the weight of this also. I would guess it'll be priced around 1500.00 but thats a guess, molds are spendy. But I was under the impression that this mold had allready been made for quite sometime, and a company has offered this in the past. I know I need a new rear hatch on my fully stock top anyway. Hey "Transformers more than meets the eye!" LOL My blazer can really confuse inosent bystanders now !! LOL
Nice work you have a PM!

I don't see holes in the front window piller for screws above the sun visors?? Are they going to be reinforced in this area? and taped inserts? Also is the fiber glass metal reinforced like factory top?

Sorry one more ?s just popped into my head. Will this support the blazer box sides? Because everyone with a blazer knows that the box sides are prone to flex/and bend with the top off alot.

Price
Reumster,
Your estimate of $1500.00 is way, way off! I would never try to extort money from the people who want one of these tops. None of us are rich, we just want a top! I want one too!! That's why I made the thing! My thoughts are to make my idea come to pass. Get the Blazer people a top. I wanted a top for 20 years, even before I owned a Blazer! Now the time has come. I'll probably will never recoupe the labor (hundreds of hours), maybe some, but to see my creation on someones Blazer, that's where its all at! I'm planning on trying to set up this Mastercard/Visa thing so people can get one. They said it will cost me about $20.00 for each top I sell? My honest thought are somewhere in the $800.00 range? Don't quote me on that, because I haven't produced the final figures, but that's my thoughts. I want people to have a top. If any of you guys want one, then let me know, and I'll kinda get a tally of interest as I come up to the day of production. I'm not a mass fiberglass guy, I'm someone who want's a top for myself and hopefully I can help others. P.S. I like this board, I've met some nice people! Oh, and thanks for the feed back........all of you! Any questions, let me know, Bruce.........Mrchev |

Very nice looking top but I know it won't work with my roll bar. I wish I had a 2wd blazer too just so I could get one of these tops! GOOD WORK!
