that was very quiet, but very cool too. What air pressure are you at? lower it a little, you will hook a bit better (free fix) or get better tires. Have fun!

Me and my friend both got a quote for an Eaton Posi, 3.73 gears and installation along with new axles $1500. Does that sound right? |

My '67 does that with anything less then the 32x11.5's I have on the back. It's got 3.73s and posi.... I think it's 'cause there is no weight back there You should see the smoke cloud with some old bias plys soaked in oil.

I think one of my tires made a chirping sound once. It was probably something I ran over...
Really. My little 305 has never been able to turn a tire in the 2 years I have owned it. Slonaker |

Well, I had this for my gears Eaton: $480 Gears: $150 install kit: $90 Setup: $150 Total is $870. If that helps you out. To me, $1500 sounds high.

That sounds a little high, Tim. I have a new 12-bolt with a 33-spline Eaton posi., Moser Drive axles, 3.73 gears, chrome differential cover, and other miscellaneous things for $1,300. That included giving the shop my factory 10-bolt.

My 305 just started being able to sqeak. I took the muffler off, and now I gun it and it sqeaks and slips for 1/4 a revolution of the wheel. It is sad, but at least I get something now!
