Just saw the pics on this truck from the GMC homepage.

I believe that is the same as the new Chevy Colorado. It is GM's new midsize truck, to compete with the Dodge Dakota. I'm not sure if it is replacing the compact S-10 or simply being added to the truck lineup. Tell GM to drop in the LS1/T56 and then I'll take one.

I'm almost certain it's replacing the S10/Sonoma, though I wouldn't be surprised if those stay on another year like the old S10-based Blazer/Jimmy despite being replaced by the TrailBlazer/Envoy.
The strange thing is, they're not going to offer the TrailBlazer's 4.2L I6 in it. Rather, only cut-down four and five cylinder versions. Something tells me that they probably tested an I6 Colorado and decided it would take away sales from Silverado somehow...especially if they coupled it with a manual. I was driving my mom's TrailBlazer a bit, and the only thing that really hurts it is the fact that the 1-2 spread on a 700R4/4L60E series tranny is an awful lot for that I6 to handle, since it does need to rev a bit. With a 6-speed stick or 5-speed auto, though...
