my new toy!!
hey all. thought i would share this with yall. i picked this up yesterday. a 1971 chevy longhorn. all original. factory ac, power disc brakes, power steering, 350/th350, posi rear. im not sure what rear is in it, but it looks kinda like a ford 9in but 8 lug. if anyone knows what it might be could you let me know please. thanks. it even has the original rear shocks. i picked it up for 500 bucks. which i thought was a good deal. anyway let me know what yall think.

brett, that rear is the corperate rear, with an Eaton HO52 diff. We normally just refer to it as the Eaton, or HO52. Very tough rear, but parts are getting hard to find.
This is assuming it is a C/20, and not a C/30. If it is a C/30, then all above is the same except the name, and it would then be the HO72. Looks like a good buy for twice the price. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 01-17-2010 at 04:33 PM. |

i want to do a frame off resto. box the frame, upgrade the brakes, sway bar , put in a big block and a overdrive trans, and make it a dually.
