Header Clearance Problem ???

I need some help from my fellow GM heads. I just got done putting a 2/4 drop on my truck tonight. It is a 1971 C-10 350. I had to remove my old headers to get clearance to the u bolts on the lower a-arms. Needed to replace my old headers anyway which were rusted through in some places and if there is one thing I hate, it is a leaky exhaust, just kills me. Anyway, I bought a set of flow tech headers from Oreilly's which where supposed to fit. The drivers side was fine but when I got to the passenger side the #2 header tube did not clear. When I compared the old to new, the new set had a much longer radius on the #2 header tube. I think the set I had on there was dynomax but I am not sure because it was 11 years ago. Thinking about paying a little more and going to a powder coated or stainless set. Without me doing any research, what manufacture of headers are you guys running?

Re: Header Clearance Problem ???

I have Hooker comps on my longhorn.....nice fit, & tuck up tight. Mine are painted, & ran around 140 bones, but they do get pricey coated. crazyAL

lolife99 - No, I don't have any pics right now. I got my money back for the headers and I am just looking to find out what guys are using. The #2 header tube did not clear the engine mount. Just wouldn't fit.
