Pics of a 47-54 crew cab???
I have been watching this forum for a few months now and was wondering if anyone here has any pics or seen anyone building a true four door pick up this body style. I have seen a few extended cabs but no four doors. Any help would be very appriciated!!!!

Re: Pics of a 47-54 crew cab???
Yeah they will be suicied and the doors will close together like the new pickups. I have the driverside back door mocked up with the latch and stuff for the front door to close already on it. I am waiting for my bear claw latches and hinges to come in. Hopefully they will be in before the end of the month.

Re: Pics of a 47-54 crew cab???
got good news today, I was able to finially get the materials i needed to finish the roof skin. I picked up three pieces of 16 gauge tubing to build a frame to support the roof and a few sheets of 18 gauge cold rolled sheets for the skins. Hopefully if the kidos behave this weekend we can get something done.

Re: Pics of a 47-54 crew cab???
Had a good day on sunday and was able to get alittle work done. I was able to get the roof almost finished. It still needs the drip rails and a little work done on the driverside rear door. I need to finish the roof out but it is all tacked into place. I used some one inch square tubing to build a frame for the add on. So far everything is coming right along. Hopefully i will be able to get the pasenger side worked up this week and the weekend. I hope you guys injoy the pics!!!!!

Re: Pics of a 47-54 crew cab???
you are very tallented in your work. One question though is the body line straight it kinda look like each door angles up in the middle? Great work none the less

Re: Pics of a 47-54 crew cab???
Would a system like a van or panel rear/side door work for the back? So the latch is actually up and down at the top and bottom for the back door? Just a though. Dig the trucks. I've wanted to do this with a 1 ton panel, make it a 4 door. So glad you put the effort into making the back door frame "square." I saw one recently that they just swapped side to side so they had a slanted back edge of each rear door. Looked like they weren't trying, to me!

Re: Pics of a 47-54 crew cab???
Been a while since i've been able to see whats going on with every body. I have had a little bit of progress, but still waiting on the hinges so i can finish the rear doors and cab. I am getting very anxious. I want to be able to drive it by july. We have a great local show the third weekend of July. I cant wait. Here you go . I hope you enjoy the pics. It gives me a great idea of the finished product.
