Re: Restoration on the 72 has begun.. 11/25/08
probably not thats more work.. haha im getting burnout on the whole project after the door skins that took me forever i dont wanna do any more fabbing up haha.. tomorrow (1-26-10) will consit of re threading the holes in passenger door.. start block sanding it.. then once thats done.. hit the paint on the inside with a DA sander.. then its off to paint by this weekend.. next week sand and buff.. and install the new hushmat. and carpet and shes good to roll

Re: Restoration on the 72 has begun.. 11/25/08
when i was doing my door skins inner and outer in january we were fitting the doors for test fits and when they hit the drip rail when we shut it on the first trys it knocked filler out and exposed that black edp coating when u get new parts so im assuming they were new drips rails installed before i got the truck so which is good

Re: Restoration on the 72 has begun.. 11/25/08
well it needed to be done and i was like i should do this before i painted it.. i was just gonna patch the holes and get new crossmembers but i couldnt pass up this bed i seen so i had to get it thought it be easier just to swap floors then patch floor. so after i get it back from blasting im gonne undercoat the bottom and spray paint the top side for now so it wont rust then its off to prep and paint. and then after paint it will get a spray in liner then it will be done.. hopefully..
