paint ideas.

i just shaved my fire wall and in the prosses of installing bags, so i will be building some custom fenders out of round trailker fenders.
the fire wall is getting painted the same gloss orange as the reast of the truck. i am still trying to decide if i want to paint the fenders and core support gloss orange, satin black or satin orange to offset the fire wall. what do you all think??

Re: paint ideas.

Should be exactly the same as the firewall. You don't want too many different colors or textures under the hood.

Re: paint ideas.

Nice job on the firewall!

I know how hard that can be. I'd have to stick with satin black on the inner fenders and core support. never did like the monochromatic look, but then what do I know?

Re: paint ideas.

With a smooth glossy firewall I vote glossy orange to match.

Re: paint ideas.

ok so, the fire wall is definaly getting painted glossy orange, i think i might do the fender wells glossy orange and the core support satin black, or go with the satin orange core support and fender wells.

my engine is chevy orange and i will be adding thease in gloss orange...http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRO-141-921/?rtype=10

Re: paint ideas.

I would at least paint the core support satin black. I have never liked lookiing through the grill and see body color I think black sets off the grill better.
Just my thoughts

I am down with those covers. And I'm liking the direction you're going.

Re: paint ideas.

I have the same question posted in the paint forum. Im facing the same delima on paint. I sorry for borrowing your pic but it is better than what I was using before. But Im painting my truck the same as paint layout as the truck in my avatar.

Im thinking about something like this, but not sure.... any thoughts or comments welcome. Maybe someone can help us both on our paint choices.Name: FIREWALL.jpg

Re: paint ideas.

my 2 cents says all silver, when someone paints the firewall black instead of the main color of the truck it just looks like to me they didnt take the truck apart before they painted it
