Found a nice steering col, but now I have a question

I found this auto steering col on our local online classifieds the other day, I'd been needing one and the guy didn't want too much for it-I got it for $25 bucks.

But now the question-can I use the lower section from my 3ott col? I must be missing something, they seem quite different where the lower section connects:

Just wondering.

The column you just bought is out of a 70-72 yours is 67-68. It will work just slide shafts out of columns and put your original shaft in the new column.

Cool. Thanks, Kev.
The guy did mention that it was out of a '71. So does that bell looking thing on the end of the '71 stay with, or does it go away?
