Does anyone have any pics or links to pics of a factory stock 72 350 equipped engine bay?

Hey thanks!

Anybody got one with air? And if so, is the alternator mounted on the other side?

Re: Pics of stock motor compartments?

The engine is dirty/dusty but is correct in everything except fasteners for the engine- they are ARP black oxided units, and the carb needs color restored. I can get you some of my bb truck at a later date if you want pics of it as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Pics of stock motor compartments?

If you are speaking to me, the whole truck has been apart (complete nuts and bolts frame off) . The body man did the bed first because the floor had close to two hundred dings about the size of your thumb nail and he had prob. 40 or more hours just preping the floor, so the bed got finished first and hopefully by the end of March the cab will be back on and the truck finished. The storage area it is in now is just that and everything is dusty/ dirty from sitting. Once it is finished I will final clean and show prep.

Is that extended oil fill and metal upper rad hose specific to the 4wd? My 2wd Cheyenne Super 350 never had those pieces. Your radiator shroud looks deeper as well.

your truck should have the oil fill tube just like 71 Supers picture. The metal upper radiator hose is 4x4 only.

Hmm. I have never seen that before. Must have been removed by the original owner. My dad was the 2nd owner and that part was gone when he bought the truck back in the mid 80's. How hard are those to find?

They aren't too hard to find. There has been a few listed here lately. I'll keep an eye for one.

You were right about the shroud to, the 4x4 one is a little deeper. The only other difference is the dipstick. The 4x4 one comes up and forward further and has a brace on it. Mine is missing it.

Re: Pics of stock motor compartments?

The extended oil fill was used for power brake trucks to make it easier to get around. If anyone had to do any work, they are in the way and often get tossed, like the stove pipe and other small pieces. They are hard to work around and not essential to operation. The fan shroud for 4x4s are deep because the engine sits back to clear the front differential.

Not an "Original" and NOT my 383 Stroker (soon), but its close to stock.
I was told this was a 350 out of a 94 GMC Sierra.

I don't open the Hood much for people.. On THIS Truck (so far) all the $$ have been put into the Body Work, instead of the engine
(like in my last Truck a 67 C-10) last picture....(sigh)
