transmission cooler
I just purchased a 72 C-10 stepside. I am currently taking it apart getting it ready for some new paint and checking everything out to make sure it is road worthy when complete. It has a transmission cooler strapped to the radiator. If I am just planning to drive this around town do I really need the transmission cooler or can I put the line back to the radiator like it was originally.
Thanks for your time |

Re: transmission cooler
Trans coolers will only make your trans last longer, yes keep it if you can. These trucks are not exactly light, pulling all the weight will keep things cool.

Re: transmission cooler
Sorry about hijacking this thread but where can you get the plastic things that holds the trans cooler to the radiator ? Mine has the cooler run thru the radiator but just hangs out front with zip ties.

Re: transmission cooler
You should be able to get the mounting kit at your local parts store

Re: transmission cooler
Summit carries several types. I use them on my electric fans. If you can't find what you want, PM me as I have a few kits in the garage and I will send one to you.
