Problem Solved
Well I finally got the a problem that has been bothering my truck for about a year.
The driveshaft would vibrate, and it even got to the point where it broke a u-joint and causeing me to loos my rear driveshaft going about 65...not fun. The problem was the carrier bearing bracket was broken, causeing it to bend, destroying carrier bearings (I had the last one in about 400 miles) ujoints, causing vibrations at certain speeds. I took some advise from many of you, including double checking that the drive shafts were in phase, installing shims to correct the pinion angle. So now that I have it fixed everything is good to go. I just wish I would have figured this out a long time ago, cause it would have saved me a lot of money ($185 for a new driveshaft, 3 carrier bearings at $20 each, several u-joints, not to mention the time to install) |

Sorry it was such an expensive lesson for you, but maybe someone else will learn from your problem. Good luck, Scott
