Re: went to my local Junk Yard and found a C10 goldmine!!

Nice find! If you do enough panning, eventually you will find gold! I went to one near me looking for a wiper arm for a dodge dakota and found 3 very well optioned trucks that hadn't been picked over yet. The real problem you have now is trying to keep the location a secret from all the other local guys.

If I wasn't on the far side of the world I'd be all over that 71 GMC to mix and match with my 71. Between the two I could make one nice truck.

Nice goldmine you found there.

Re: went to my local Junk Yard and found a C10 goldmine!!

Nice pics... Looks like alot of good parts there. Not that it matters much, but if you need parts for certain years, the first truck is a 72, the second is a custom deluxe, the third is a 68 and the fifth truck, sierra, is a 71 it looks like. Thanks for sharing pics...

Man... I finally found a couple in a yard but they've all been picked to death. One has a nice behind the seat tank that looks brand new though.

Re: went to my local Junk Yard and found a C10 goldmine!!

That Caddy coupe deVille has a 390 or 429 not a 500 1970 is the first year for a 500 and 68 is the first year for 472, 368,425,472,500 are basically the same engine. But from what is showing that could possibly be one sweet cruiser with a 425,472 or 500 transplant and disc brake upgrade! Not positive but I think its a 64-65?
