Truck Camper on a 1972?
I'm just curious as to whether its practical to use one of these vintage trucks as a camper truck, putting something like this on one:
http://www.johnsonrvsales.com/UsedMo....5SC-1264.html Could a 2500 (3/4 ton) w/402 handle something like that? Or do modern campers really need a modern truck to be operated safely? Thanks, Dave

A Custom Camper 3/4 ton is a very capable truck even today. For your truck it will depend on it's GVW and the campers weight.

Make sure your shock absorbers and brakes are up to the task and you should not have any problems. That is assuming you have discs on the front of your truck. I know 72 came with discs. And of course it is a 3/4 ton.
