Hey guys new here.. and need some help please.
Hey i been running through these forums for the last couple of months since I picked up an early model 70 c10 long bed. 4 speed.. ( pink says 69. Vin says 70.. original cab for as far as i can tell and Vins match). Lots of riggin to get the car to run( from previous owner).. but for 700 bucks i couldnt pass it up.
I thought I was the only one that ever saw the potential in these trucks and have been yearning for one since longer then i can remember. So back to the riggin part... the previous owner used wire, random bolts to rig up the carburator linkages to make the truck run.. any chance any of you know where i can pick a replacement.. universal is fine.. pretty much need everything comin off the shaft of the accelerator from the firewall to the carburator... mount, ball joints..etc. any help would be appreciated thanks in advance. also its a rochester 1bbl carb 7040007, my casting says 230-250 inline 6 engine. |

I could make a fortune fabricating these things up since no one wants to share.. I think im going to just pull the old stuff out, repair and put back in.. havent found anything yet.. I did find a remanufactured rochester on ebay for 100$. Definately beats rebuilding mine for that price.

First Welcome to 67-72 chevy trucks site.I just found your post as I have been under the weather for the last few days. You couldn't have found a better place to get help and advise on how to deal with our pride and joy trucks. I'm in Tennessee and would be a little costly to ship what you need from here. Let's give it a day or two and see if someone closer can help you out. If not then I'll try to round it up for you. Check out the my photobucket in my siggy to see pics of my outdoor parts department. Have a good morning sir.
