'76 Chevy C-10 Build
Well I bought this truck at my first job "Summer 2009" it cost 1,400. I am 18 and I decided I really wanted this truck, Oh and it is my first vehicle lol.
So it's a 1976 C-10 1/2ton with 350/350. In the beginning when I first bought this truck it was stock height with a lumber rack and tool box, was the guys work truck. This truck had little to no rust in it at all! "On back of bed rail next to cab is rusted and passenger side fender is rusted in the lower quarter panel" What I have done to this truck so far is, rebuilt the front end of the truck with all new balljoints and urethane bushings. lowered the truck with a Bell-tech rear end flip kit. I have bought a new passenger side door from LMC and a passenger side fender used in good condition. I will show my progress within this thread as I build my dream truck! |

Re: '76 Chevy C-10 Build
Thank you, I appreciate it.
I am working on it now, I am sanding down the tail gate. Just wish it didn't look like it would rain on me. |

Re: '76 Chevy C-10 Build
I've got a question, My truck loves to drift of to the right when driving, I had my wheels aligned but that only helped a little bit, I think it might be the crappy tires I have on the truck, "Tires are very bad" So I was just wondering what you guys think might be the problem?
Thanks. |

Re: '76 Chevy C-10 Build
did you get it aligned before or after the rear drop?
Man those round light trucks look good two tone with trim and white roofs.

After, Also I cut the springs about and 1in 1/2 but I doubt that would cause it, I measured both sides and they are equal.

Re: '76 Chevy C-10 Build
The truck looks good & solid. Stance looks right too. It's got some good "patina" going on there. These trucks can pull off about any color. What do YOU like? After all, YOU have to see it everyday.

Also, blue is out of the question, Don't want to copy my dad lol. He is painting his 57 chevy candy blue. I was just more interested in a unique color that is one off.

Re: '76 Chevy C-10 Build
It looks like you are making really good progress. As far as color goes, it kinda looks good in the green. Maybe paint it a rally green (similar to the last paintjob, the brighter one. Rally green is a 69 Camaro color, and looks killer with white). It will be unique, and not in a bad way.
