gas tank location

warm weather has allowed me to start working on truck i bought over the winter. the previous owner mounted a plastic fuel cell under the bed.the problem is you have to open gate and climb in to get at it. the hole is too small to easily acess fill cap.hate to cut it larger since location isnt good. any thoughts on just mounting it in bed behind driver so i can drive truck while deciding on options?

Re: gas tank location

As long as its bolted down I don't see a problem with it. Do you have any pics as it is mounted now.

Re: gas tank location

sorry no pictures. i took it out today and put it in bed. this will allow me to work on truck and still take it for drives until i decide on more permanent solution. since truck is new to me its hard to determine where to spend funds and where they are needed most. after seeing how it was mounted im lucky it didnt fall out.
