im still a little confused, ok.. in-front of the subs, its gonna move some air, i mean dang, it has 90in of moving surface area.... but if that box is sealed, why does the camper flex so much? is the box not sealed? i thought it was a sealed enclosure??

seems like it'd sound waaaaay better if that truck was structurally sound... i knew a guy that filled the doors /w/ cement....but yea, that rear window is just reduculas. its gonna break, whens the question.

the box is a 6th order bandpass i think. which is 2 ported chambers.
but when you've got that much air moving, it's hard to stop anything the box is attached to from flexing like crazy. kind of like the shockwave from an earthquake i guess lol.

yeah he never showed much of the amps or batteries, but i know it's xs power batteries and powerbass amps, the high dollar ones.

Jack's a little out there, but he knows his stuff thats for sure. He's cool to have a beer with too.

The cab of that truck flexes like you wouldn't believe. His old Geo was the same way. It had 4 15's ported. That car was rediculusly loud and his truck is even louder. There's just so much air being shoved around that its impossible to contain without using materials like concrete (which is used in the ultra high SPL vehicles). It's hard to imagine that a sub (or in this case a series of them) could create that much energy, but trust me, its very possible and can even be taken further. I see it on a daily basis in my own truck, just scaled down a wee bit

Haha I imagine Jack would be fun to have a beer or 2 with reading some of his posts on SMD lol.

I know a little about the concrete'd extreme vehicles, pretty crazy stuff but I'd rather drive my truck to the comp. not trailer it lol. The van at SBN that did a 181 had like 4 inches worth of concrete all through it, and they sealed the doors with an impact and 6 inch long bolts.

I hope my 2 15's can move a fraction of the air Jack's truck moves lol.

And I remember when he bought the truck too, or when he posted about buying it on SMD anyway. I watched that build come together, my jaw on the floor the whole time lol.
