ATTENTION Washington Members! Monroe Sat. May 17th
oldiron and progress are sending PM's to everyone local to find out who's going. I am for sure, and I know some of you Washington guys have mentioned you're going, so GET OFF YOUR BUTTS! Contact oldiron and/or progress if you want to meet up with us sometime that day. Time/place is still open for discussion, but lets nail it down.
...or if you're feeling too lazy to simply send him a PM (or his inbox fills up with an "overwhelming" response) reply to this thread and give a shout if you want to go, or if you're going and want to meet up. Here's the list so far: oldiron COBALT progress (aka "stllookn") ...breeh, bouncytruck??? I know you dudes are out there...

COBALT, Sorry...did not mean to double post about the swap meet but I was writing it while you were posting. imdarren said he would be going as well. Progress is my alter ego on the other computer...still trying to get Josh to delete that name so my default will always be "stllookn". It would be fun to have a place to meet in the parking lot. I was still thinking about taking my barbeque and some lawn chairs!

It would be nice to get a group photo of all of the trucks together.

NW Truck Show Awards
Let's have a mini-truck show for board members! Here are the proposed awards.
Best Custom Best Stock Best of Show Best Paint Best Motor Best Project Under Construction Most Rust Luckiest to have made it to the show under its own power Nice truck...does you husband do custom work too? There should be something in there for just about everyone. I can see two that I will qualify for if I am brave enough to attempt to drive my truck that far...LOL!

I'm trying to get someone to run the sweeper crew behind my truck to pick up all the parts that fall off it and to give me a tow out there and home if it breaks down! Any volunteers? Frank...you can bring your trailer!

COBALT, are you still looking for a TH400? I can bring that one that I told you about with me. Or for anyone else, I have that 400 and a TH350 that I would like to get out of my garage. I will bring them to the swap with me.

breeh: God, I almost forgot about that. Yes, I'm still interested in the 400. Bring it along!
stllookn: Get your mits off of that 400.

Cobalt, Actually I was thinking about the TH350. I have a TH400 in one truck and Powerglide in the other. I was thinking a TH350 would be a nice replacement for the Powerglide if it is serviceable. I didn't want to step on your toes there...you have first call on both of them it sounds like. What was he asking for them or are they cores?

lol I was just giving you a hard time.
breeh and I were walking around at Puyallup, and I saw a pretty decent case on a TH400, but they wanted way too much money for it. The guy wasn't going to sell it at that price, and as the day went on he refused to reduce his price. breeh helped me to forget it by offering me the one he has. I just forgot to get back to him on it, and I'm glad he reminded me. If breeh is selling it then it's a good buy. I'm not interested in the TH350 at all, so go for it. If he's willing to bring 'em both then maybe we'll walk away with some trannys!

All the booths are sold out for the show...so it will be a good one. I was trying to see if we could get a designated parking spot near the car corral where we could all park, meet, work on my truck and barbeque...LOL!

Hey that sounds sweet. Should we actually start talking about foot/beer/etc or is it too early? or is it even appropriate?

I think that it is appropriate! I can swing by Costco and pickup some hamburger and buns.

You guys are killing me. I don't think I'm going to make it. My wife has to work and weekends are me and the baby. She's a little too young to carry around a swap meet for 5 hours. I tried to get my wife's aunt to watch her, but she has plans all weekend. All hope is not lost yet though. I've got a few others to try.

Well...I usually spend the day out there and get hungry so I was going to throw in the barbeque and a cooler. I have some friends that want to attend as well...so weather permitting...I think it will be a go. I am going to clear it with the wife but I have been quacking about if for a month now so I am sure she must have gotten the message by now. The ice will come out of our fridge...the barbeque and briquettes are ready to go. I have to make a COSTCO run late this week so I could pick up the burgers, buns and condiments. I was going to do a picnic anyway so it is just a matter of how many I am going to cook for. It would be good to find enough room for everyone to park together. I guess that might involve getting there early and roping off a remote section of the parking lot and setting the food up between a couple of vehicles. What do you think?

That sounds great. Do we want to BYOB, or do you think we'll have problems having alcohol at hand? I don't know how the Monroe Fairgrounds people think about that...
I could bring some beer or soft drinks...

Well I have had some suggestions for around noon. How about meeting at the south end of the grand stands by the outside stairs? Then we can go light fire to stllookn's truck for the BBQ. Opps his grill I mean. LOL!!
Maybe the folks going on Sunday could meet at the same place and time also.
