Re: Brothers trk parts

Brothers are a last resort for me. 1st time I ordered side markers, they sent me 3 amber one red. Made me send the extra one back on my dime, wouldn't ship the replacement until they received it. Last time I ordered a vacuum fitting, out of stock, didn't contact me. I called they said it would be a couple of weeks. I called in a couple of weeks and they said they couldn't get the part.

Re: Brothers trk parts

I ordered 8 patch panels from them and sent 3 wrong panels. They wanted me to send them back first, pay for the shipping, wait for them to receive them back. then they would ship new parts.Shipping was more than i paid for the parts in the first place. No thanks

Re: Brothers trk parts

Brothers is a last resort = perfect description

The people you get on the phone know nothing about the parts they sell, I have been shipped multiple wrong things. Items are not in stock often, and have given up on multiple items and been refunded after waiting weeks. There are too many other vendors that just do it much much better, that are worth your time and money...

Re: Brothers trk parts

I think there is nothing wrong with the parts they sell.

My gripe for the most part with that shop, is that they usually do not have what I am looking for in stock.

I have had great luck in getting what I need right away from this place:

http://www.truckandcarshop.com/

They have a huge inventory, and they also sell rare used non reproduced parts. Though I don't think they catalog those parts.

Re: Brothers trk parts

thanks for the link. I just ordered a catalog from them. I figure the more options the better.

Couldn't have said it better myself!

I live 10 mins. from Brothers and they almost NEVER have anything in stock. And they never know when anything is coming in... On the rare occasion that they had the part in stock, I was not disappointed in the quality.

I have gone to the Truck Shop and they have never been out of stock on anything I have needed. They also have a massive case of NOS and rare parts that aren't even advertised in their catalog. You just have to buy them in person.

On the other hand, Brothers puts on the absolute best truck show on the West Coast for our trucks.

Re: Brothers trk parts

I wouldn't even consider them a last resort. They don't stock anything to even order. The few things that I have ordered were all back ordered but I wasn't worried because I was stationed out the country at the time I ordered them. I was just stockpiling parts until I came home. But when I got home, my outer grill shell was scratched all over right out of the box and didn't fit that well either. My vent window assemblies looked used or either the chroming process was really poor. They also wanted me to pay to ship them back. I'll never order anything from them again. There are too many other companies that sell these parts.
