1988 blazer
I just picked up an 1988 blazer 4wd. The truck has been parked for a year and only has 85,000 miles on a 350/ 700R4 drivetrain. It is part of an estate sale so I am not sure if I'm getting papers for a while or ever, but the truck is mine already. Don't know if I should get it running and do work to it or part it out.
Can I transfer the drivetrain to a two wheel drive frame I have that is sand blasted, has papers and is ready to reassemble? Do the seats and the power window doors fit on a regular cab? Thanks for any info....

Re: 1988 blazer
hey kanuk- it is doable & ive done it several times. you must remove all the spring hangers as they are longer on a 4wd than a 2wd. the seats will work but the seat bases wont, they are way too high. you may be able to cut them down, the bucket seat bases for a pickup are quite rare. good luck!
