side windows
I am trying to reinstall my side window glass on to the window sashes with a new rubber but I cant get the glass to press down tight to the sash any ideas thanks

I use a piece of wood laid flat and tap it down with a hammer. Sounds bad but it works for me. Are you using the correct type rubber. It should be like 1/32 inch thick. I have used a lubricant at times also on the regular rubber type.

I use mineral spirits as a lubricant with the 1/32" setting tape like mbgmike says. Once the mineral spirits evaporate the window will become permanently adheared to the sill. WES
