6.2 swap

okay, so i know a guy i can get a 6.2 diesel with a manual transmision from for 200 bucks plus my engine and tranny. problems are driveline length. and wiring harness. how differant is the wirring and is it possible to do this swap in one day including building a harness.?

I assume you mean a 6.2 diesel? If your getting a 6.2 LS motor for 200.00 I want one too.

I think it would be a lllloooooooooonnnnnnggggggg day to get this done.

I don't think you could get all the bugs worked out that fast. Will you have a donor vehicle to pull parts from or are you just getting the motor and trans? It would be a lot easier if you had the complete vehicle to get parts from.

just the moto and trans, which is the problem. if i had the donor i know i could get it done. hell if i could find a 6.2. diesel truck here for that price id swap trucks. lol

I think if you try to gather up all the parts you need before hand I think you could do the swap in a weekend. How close is the nearest parts store, hardware store, and junkyard? It's always the little parts that screw up a project like this. I'm lucky, I've got a Ace hardware store right across the street and an Autozone about three minutes up the road.

napa, autozone, and oreillys all with 10 minutes, but them actually having the parts in stock is another matter. and no junkyards near have the diesel setup of my style truck.
