air shocks
My '69 had air shocks I used when I towed. It had coil springs. I can't seem to find a set now for my new truck. I am pretty sure they were Monroe. They only show one for a leaf spring. Do the shocks with the springs around them work ok? Truck is lowered about 4" in the rear.

Re: air shocks
I would recommend getting "helper" air bags that go inside the coil springs, you can get them by measurement from Airlift or Firestone. They will carry the weight where it is meant to be, the shock mounts are not designed to carry a load, just hold the shock.

Re: air shocks
I plan on using some Gabriel Hijackers air shocks PN 49107 for coil springs on my truck, did a quick web search and one place that had them was Amazon for about $80.00
Since your truck is lowered 4 inches, I take it was done with lowering springs the same as I am doing. You might want to relocate your shock mounts. There will be some pictures of the shocks installed coming soon on my build thread. You might want to look at my build thread (post #257) http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...318544&page=11 showing what I’m planning on doing to relocate the shock mounts.
