Re: "Project 64"
If you make the upper bar's pivots the same length as the lower pivots, then you won't have any pinion change... just like a parallel 4-bar with equal length bars. This will be the simplest way to go.

Re: "Project 64"
I have thought about it and I'm going to lower the back half down. When I was first setting it up I had the axle sitting too high at 18" center from the ground. Moved it down to 14 1/2" like I'm going to run.
Here is a pic for you Dave. Swingset were building for the boys.

Re: "Project 64"
Nothing wrong with cell phone pics. Love the metal swing set. I would have made it out of wood, but I'm a framer. Trucks coming along. I knew you would see the light. You ant going to lay frame on 48's anyways. I'm glad I bought the kit. I would be lost. Now that I have the kit, I have a lot better idea of how it all works. 6 months ago I couldn't spel 4 linc.

Re: "Project 64"
Thanks man I need all the encouragement I can get.
I had to take the wishbone off, since it was off by a 1/8" on one side. I broke my grinder and haven't got another one yet so no progress.

Re: "Project 64"
no it was only 1/8", It buged me cuz you could tell that the bushing wasn't centered. I cant use the plasma at my house. the one that I have is a 400V unit. I used the ones at work. but you cant bring your trucks into the motorpool in the army.

Re: "Project 64"
That real Army stuff must suck. We use to do it in the reserves, that was awhile back though. I'm sure they have some rule about it now.

Re: "Project 64"
Man you keep bringing it out of the dead. I've sold off mostly all of the truck before i got out of the Army. I still have the body, and plan on working on the cab for practice. I still got some stuff I need to sell off. I'm building my s10 right now. But I will get another truck, and take a diffrent approch to it.
I traded DV8customs his sectioned crossmember for my hood, so I'm still getting some parts. What do you need to buy from me?
