On last question before I order the wheels

I'm ordering a set of rally wheels for my 1980 Step and I'm going with 8" wide in the front and 10" in the rear. I noticed they offer 4.5" or 5" backspacing - any one have an idea which is better?

Re: On last question before I order the wheels

the lower the number the more they stick out of the fender, and our trucks in the rear are a narrower track then the front, are you planning on bagging your truck so it tucks the tires?

Re: On last question before I order the wheels

then it is not going to matter that much with just a 1/2 in diff, I would go with the 4.5

Re: On last question before I order the wheels

It should be OK with a 315 - 60 -15 -I just don't want the tires/wheels to stick out.

Re: On last question before I order the wheels

here is a pic of my burb, the front is a 18x8 with a 4inch back space, and the rear is a 20x10 with 5in back space, look how far they sit in, also on the front I have drop spindels so it pushes my front wheels out about 3/4 of an inch.

Re: On last question before I order the wheels

Also are the wheel studs 1/2" or 7/16"?
