Center seat belts?

Do center seat belts exist for your trucks? I thought they all had them and noticed mine aren't there.

Yea I just has a Nightmare Scenario, going from the Stock OEM Bench Seat, over to new Bucket seats. The "Generic 1 size fits all" Seat Belt Brackets they provided were ****.
I had a Metal Fabricator Friend make mine from scratch.

Re: Center seat belts?

That's interesting that they were optional. I've never noticed that option being listed on a spid. FWIW my truck has the center belt. Stock bench truck.

I have seen it listed on spid tags before. Not always however...

They were standard on Cheyenne,Sierra,Cheyenne Super, and Sierra Grande.I can`t recall about Custom Deluxe but I think so.Just not on the base trucks.

My '72 Super Cheyenne doesn't have a center belt and I do not recall an anchor point being in place for one when I put the carpet/pad down.

Re: Center seat belts?

My '71 Custom 10 had a full set of belts. When I upgraded I put in three point belts for the driver and passenger sides, but went without a center belt.

Well duh! I guess I had my head in the clouds for a minute there! Needless to say, I don't have a belt for the center. Guess I'll have to start searching for another belt now.

Re: Center seat belts?

My Cheyenne didn't have and I needed them in a hurry, So the only color I found was black. Used the other bolts from the other belts and everything is fine.

Re: Center seat belts?

Many trucks had them removed. The higher trim trucks came standard with center belts, they were an option,as well as available as GM accessories.I`ve had a many of high level trucks in original unmolested form. That`s what I`ve always looked for.I also have the brochures that site the features, just don`t feel like digging them out to prove what I know is fact.

Re: Center seat belts?

Fwiw my 70 cst my dad bought in 85 unmolested with low miles didn't have one. We put a center belt out of a 70 impala we had bought for the engine in it. Buckle is stainless with gm logo not exact match but looks better than a lot I've seen.
