Re: Dropping the back of a 60-66 with leaf springs

I took out 3 leafs from each set last weekend, and took the drop shackles off....

They were hitting the bed floor, and I did not want to crack the wood I just put in.....

Seems to be ok right now, but I would really like some mono leaf drop springs, but not for $$$ 400.00...........

Yeah I looked at the mono springs and the price turned me away too, but as it turned out removing the 3 springs was enough to get a good ride and still have some load capacity left. I didn't put on my dropped shackles I got from CCP for the reason you stated but as the shackles are adjustable in height I may use them latter when I get the front down and see where the stance ends up....Vernski

Makes it fun getting the tires on and off, too.
