Under hood paint??
Under the hood, sould the wheel wells be body color or black? Mine are rusty and I cant tell what color they ever where...

I painted mine semi gloss, but my dad has a brand new set of oem and they are pretty flat.

When you get NOS inner fenders they come with black primer which is pretty flat but they still need to be painted. Semi gloss is the closest as it will flaten over time.

I use Krylon Satin Black part no. K51613 now. You can also order industrial semi-flat black part no. 1613, which is closer to oem. Dupli-Color DE1635 is also good, I hear.

I used black rustoleum on mine. Turns real hard after a few weeks of heat from the engine and sun.

There are some "chassis black" paints out there. It's suppose to be close to original. I would call it satin. If you want a rattle can napa has martin senour chassis black that seems to work really well.

I painted mine the same color as the truck as well as painting the core support. Gives the engine bay that extra pop.
