That looks like one of those Ford pieces.

Hunk of tin, piece of board, put them together you got a FORD!

looks like a 426 Hemi. Hemi's are cool but very expensive.

The motor I posted is a Boss 429. As far as the other one, is it a Side Oiler?

For the second pic, both ford and dodge motors arent even close, so its either a chevy big block with aftermarket hemi heads or else its a toyota v8

It can't be a Chevy motor, cuz the distributor is in the front. Gotta either be a hemi or a boss.

Except all the Hemi motors have the distributor on the other side.

True. From where the distributor is, makes me think it's a Buick. But it doesn't look like any buick motor I've ever seen

The second engine has cylinder heads that resemble the extremely rare ARDUN ohv racing cylinder heads designed by Zora and his brother Yura Arkus-Duntov a looong time ago.
Or a variant of the ardun heads. My guess it's a ford flathead from the 1940's?????

Isn't that about the right distributor position for a cadillac?

Only seen one, so my memory might be bad.

Tom is the man I saw that motor at the Street Rod Nats this year. It is in a T bucket roadster. It is a Toyota Hemi V8! I recall an article awhile back discussing them. I think they were only put in Japanese market cars. I could be wrong on that though. It does kind of look like a flathead with Ardun heads. It did not dawn on me until it was mentioned.
