Gas th400 vs Diesel th400 4x4

Is a diesel turbo 400 usable with a gas motor? I have several 6.2L trucks with th400s that I'm looking to rebuild in order to put behind a 454.. I had assumed the torque converter was different but otherwise were there any differences?
