a/c bracket for 72
Im wanting to use the stock brackets for my compresor but i have headers and the one that bolts to the old ram horn wont fit around the headers.any one out there have any ideas?

get a smaller sanden compressor from an aftermarket upgrade kit that doesn't require the lower bracket. Otherwise forget it, my truck was missing that bracket and the compressor was not stable until I ordered a replacement.

sounds like a special prefab deal. i dont know of any aftermarket set up...

I added some clearance to the back of my stock bracket with an angle grinder and used spacers to take up for the thickness of the manifold. (Between the header & bracket) After it's bolted on, you can't see that the bracket has been modified. So far so good, the compressor is plenty stable and I've put a couple thousand miles on it without problems.

They make lower brackets designed for use with headers. Check Summit or somewhere like that. My problem is the top bracket with tall valve covers.

just talked to old air,and they showed me the bracket and compressor they said i could use.I like what you did hugger cst.If there is any way you could post some picks of what you did,that would be great
