Best way to do grill letters?
What would be the best way to paint in the GMC letters on my trucks grill? Anyone have pics of what they've done etc?
EDIT: I've found the perfect thing in my opinion. They are Elmer's Paintables Paint Markers. Buy a fine tip for edges, and medium for filling. You can pick them up at Wal-Mart in the crafts section.. MY RESULT: and

Re: Best way to do grill letters?
I never know the best way. I used a paint brush and black paint. I think it passes the 20 foot test (or maybe 30 foot!).

There may be stickers available, like there are for Chevy's. Try Classic Parts.

I would tape of the whole thing then cut the letters out of the tape with a razor then paint

Re: Best way to do grill letters?
I wanted tan letters for my 55 grill. I bought a set of letter decals, which were vinyl transfers available in white or black. I threw away the letters and used the background of the transfer as a painting mask. I painted the letters on with a detail gun and when dry peeled off the mask. I then clearcoated over the whole grill. Ended up great.

Re: Best way to do grill letters?
Thanks-Still wondering if I should paint the bumper white too. Any suggestions?
It is a little tricky using the brush but I thought the tape /razor blade approach would lead to disaster if the paint ran under the tape. LANDONL-That looks awesome!

Re: Best way to do grill letters?
I searched earlier for more on this but didn't find much. This may work for you guys with earlier or later gen trucks as well.
