Re: Help

I have never ordered from CPA so I can't offer advice there. I can tell you that LMC is hit or miss on quality. I have ordered parts from them that were exact OEM replacements with quality as good or better. I have also received parts that were so poor quality that I would not put them on my truck.

The problem is, you just don't know till it gets there in your hand.

Re: Help

Have an aftermarket bumper on mine I got from classic industries. What Ihear the after market ones are all about the same . Iwas told that G M WOULDNT let any bumper be made that was a duplicate of their original . they look like they are upside down after installed . I just recently puulled one off of a burb at the bone yard _ not perfect --some minor pitting , but it is the right shape .

See how the ends sag down --one of the board members commented that Ihad a sad bumper. Also the metal is thinner & if you tighten the bolts up too much it will form dimples around the bolt head. You may be ok with this look , but Ibet you want be satisfied with nothing but an oem (gm ) one.

hope Ihave helped

Re: Help

I use LMC for small odd parts, nothing major, or overly large. No issues at all...

Re: Help

your bumper matched your license plate. it does look sluggish.

i have seen other bumpers like that but always thought they hit something to tweak it.

Same... I bought new tail light lences and mirrors from LMC, and had no issues. But i really wanted a GM bumper. We'll see how it looks in "6-8 Days".

Re: Help

You can't get NOS for a stepside...Just got one from Top Banana, haven't really had a chance to check it out that close, but at first glance it looks pretty good.
