Wheel backspacing
I am ready purchase my wheels for my 72 stepside and have a question about the wheel backspace. The wheels I am ordering are 15x10 ralleys I want to make sure I get it right. Will 4.5" backspace work or should I go with 5" backspace. The truck has been lowered I just do not want the tires to rub the inner fenders. The tires would be 245/60/15.

Re: Wheel backspacing
On a side note, I just wanted to chime in about 15 inch wheels on a lowered truck. I am not sure how you lowered your truck but I put drop spindles and drop springs on my truck and had problems with my rims rubbing on my lower control arms. I put a 15x8 with a 4.5 backspace I think it was and had to run spacers. I am getting ready to upgrade to 20 to keep get rid of the spacer issue. I realize that it isnt the question you asked but just wanted to make sure you didnt spend to much money and had the same problems I did.
Good luck
