My starter is to big any help i need a small one.........

My starter is to big any help i need a small one.........

I have a 327 out of a nova in my 1969 c10 4x2
I just put on some block huge-rs headers and now my stock starter is to big
Do's any one have a part # that will fit and me as small as can be
thanks

both summit and jegs sell plenty of different manufacturer's "mini" starters.

Napa also sells them as "Hi Perf" versions if you want a local store (I like doing it that way so I have somewhere to return it to if it breaks). There are other "stock" replacement sources for these "Nippon-Denso" style starters depending on how many teeth your flywheel has.

the problem on some mim starters you may find is if you still have an original points type dizzy is they dont have the post fpr the 12volt bump to the points on ignition

CooL thanks for all the help guys. I think Ill go to napa and see what they have
I called advanced auto parts and the guy had no idea

what i was talking about he just keep asking me what year was it lol so i played along for a little bit.. this is how it went....... what year is your truck (69 c-10) what egn (327) no its not (yes it is it) cant be (why not) the computer
is telling me 327 is not a op-shin (you asked what year the truck is not the egn) ok what year is the egn (67 ish) what truck did that come out of ( it did not come out of a truck it came out of a car a nova) .... you can do that ( do what ) put a car egn in a truck (lol yes yes you can never mind Ill call napa). that was fun

A lot of guys (including me) run the Skip White mini starter that Skip White sells on Ebay and it works fine for cheap. Includes shims and bolts. Easy to wire up.

This is an old post but browsing through with a similar problem....WTF that is hilarious and flaber-gasting!!! This guy should NOT be selling auto parts....to anyone....ouch
