Leaking Transmission fluid
It's leaking around the vacuum modulator. Probably needs a new O-ring. anyone know the specs on that (size/thickness)?
ETA: It's a TH350 trans Last edited by D-Rat; 06-10-2010 at 04:26 PM. |

Re: Leaking Transmission fluid
If you take the old one to Napa or Kragen they can match it up. They have every size. Also, new modulators come with a new o-ring and tube for liek $10-$15. If the o-ring is shot, the valve itself may be very old, too. Also, check that it's not leaking from the valve itself. Also, check that the bolt that holds the clamp on the valve is not loose.

Re: Leaking Transmission fluid
This is a brand new modulator I got from Napa, but it didn't come with an O ring, the buggers. So I reused the O ring from the old one (that wasn't leaking, mind you), and now I have a puddle of trans fluid in my driveway.
Maybe the truck is just irked that it's so hot this week. |
