Replacement panels for under the seat area?

I was looking at the floor of my blazer, and started noticing a lot of pin holes in the area under the driver's seat. The area feels pretty solid, but the fact that I can see light through it makes me know it needs to get fixed. Since I already have to re-do the front floor, would it make more sense to buy a complete floor pan? And if so, where could I get one.

Don't believe any one makes a floor pan for the blazer, truck pans are close but mods have to be done at the area behind seat. Mine was rusted at the same area, I fabed up a couple of pieces and welded in place, not very noticable as they are under both seasts.

Seat Brackets are the same but the holes are different. Floor is the same until you get to the back. Look at the thread on here where a member is taking a truck cab and turning it into a blazer. I have the floor section of a pickup from AZ that I am welding in in the areas you are talking about

Yeah, looks like I will need a patch. Ran a wire brush over the area quickly tonight to see what I had.






And I found a couple other near the edge too.

definately get the full floor skin. if i could go back i would. the one for the regular cab will work.

yeah, going to have to find a place to get one, and figure out how to get it in without messing up the firewall alignment I guess.

you know for those small holes and stuff you can just get a patch piece welded in... dont have to replace the whole floor just because there area couple pin holes... go down to the local weld shop and ask them what they can do for you. alot of people could weld thaat in and make it look clean.

We can sell you a complete floor but you don't need it by the pics. Looks like its been patched before so its hard to tell. I would patch it. Doing the floor is a whole bunch of work if you don't need it. If you are wanting to restore it well thats a different story

that is what i did. but you can weld the plug welds on the full floor like the factory skin alot cleaner and faster than cutting and shaping patch panels and welding all the the seams all the way aroundto connect to the old good sheet metal. and then you have to do the same for the rh and lh front floor pans. its a huge mess.

Does the replacement floorpan have the bent lip across the front that mates up with the cowl/upper section where you spot weld the 2 sections together

The floor has been worked on before, and that is my reasoning for doing a whole floor. The PO bought the front floor patched, but then just welded them in. Didn't bend the front lip, didn't spot weld them to the cab support, and didn't take much time for proper fitment. There were also areas that weren't within the floor patch, and for those he basically patchwork quilted them in. Here is a picture of the front driver's side (passenger is similar)







So this is why I am thinking of doing the full floor, cause otherwise I'll be doing a lot of reshaping only to keep maybe 30% of the original floor anyways. I may just start trying to grind down his welds and patching these holes just for practice though, but I think in the end I might be better off with a new floor.

i haven't used one yet but all the pictures show to have that pre bent flange like factory. yes

The floor panels I got don't have the pre-bent flange, but those are just the foot well parts. I think the full panel has it though.
