factory rear slider

Is there a such thing as a factory slider? Any pics.

My "new" 71 cab has a slider in it and I was going to take it out, but if its factory maybe I'll keep it. Also, the latch on it is broke, so you can't lock it (not a problem right now since I currently don't have keys for the doors either)

I have a slider and it is on my option sheet. LMC has replacement latches. Mine is broken as well and the LMC latch will work but I have to drill out rivets and the latch comes with little screws.

I have 2 factory original sliders and have seen quite a few of them, but I have never seen any glass that was factory tinted! If they are true factory sliders the frame comes in 2 pieces and will screw together in the lower corners.

Re: factory rear slider

Re: factory rear slider

All factory ones were aluminum. All aftermarkets are black, though I believe there are some vintage aluminum aftermarket windows. Trevor

Re: factory rear slider

Option number: "A28 Rear Wind Sliding Glass"; according to the SPID on my GMC.
